Welcome to my blog. For a brief description, see above.
In 2006, I decided to make a "Top 50" list to amuse myself and my friends. The idea came to me one day when I was attempting to come up with new ways to procrastinate. I decided to combine two of my loves: Eurovision and Microsoft Excel, and compile, rank, and rate hundreds of songs that were in some way associated with the Eurovision Song Contest. Unlike other lists (which I assume exist somewhere), I decided to base my rankings on both quality and possible mass appeal in the North American market. (Anyone can tell you that these rarely are the same thing.) I believe that, if marketed correctly, many of the songs could chart in the United States and Canada, places which, for the most part, have no contact with the ESC. Needless to say, I had so much fun making the list in 2006, that I doubled its size for 2007. While I'm busy starting the process over again for 2008, I'd thought I'd share last year's list with you. While you may not enjoy all of the songs (some are downright awful), hopefully, you'll find the journey amusing. So, now I present to you The Top 100 Songs You've (Probably) Never Heard - 2007 edition.
