The Top 100 Songs You've (Probably) Never Heard - 2007

Push the Button
Teapacks
Israel
Push the Button is a rather schizophrenic ditty about the threat of a nuclear holocaust if a certain Mid-Eastern nation were to develop nuclear warhead capabilities. Cheerful, isn’t it? Ignoring the doom and gloom subject matter and the hugely controversial lyrics (the Iranian government officially demanded that this song be banned from the ESC), the song is catchy and you’ll be singing it for days. It certainly wouldn’t be the first pop song about nuking the world to be a hit in the U.S. (99 Luftballoons by Nena, #2 Billboard Hot 100 and Two Tribes by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, #43 are notable examples).
