The Top 100 Songs You've (Probably) Never Heard - 2008

Fullkomið Líf/This Is My Life
Eurobandið
Iceland
In my opinion, this was one of the most interesting songs of last year. Why? Because we could observe it as it evolved from an indie/club tune in Icelandic to a somewhat overproduced mainstream dance song in English. Over the course of several months, we watched as they tweaked elements of the song and performance to better fit their idea of what the song should be. It was a rare peak into the music industry and the grooming of a single. The video below is the original version but you can also view the final version here.

I feel like I should make some witty comment about musical evolution, but all I've got is that Hilary Duff would be a troglodyte in terms of musical development. A sick troglodyte that had swallowed rusty nails and put a kazoo up its nose.
Oh, and boy bands are like dodos! Too trusting, kinda stupid, and just completely out of place in today's world.
